The Spelthorne Young Voices (SYV) was established in 2003 and are a community based choir for children and young people in Spelthorne and the surrounding areas.
For 15 years SYV has been educating and inspiring children and young people, helping them to develop musical and vocal technique as well as discipline and musicianship.
What does singing in a choir offer you?
The enjoyable experience of learning and performing a wide and varied repertoire, whilst developing skills as a singer. It also provides the opportunity to make new friends and to work as part of a team. Singers possess a number of highly transferable skills: Members will find that being part of the choir will help to supplement their school work, whilst also promoting many qualities such as commitment, social skills, accuracy and confidence.
